Dawn Trading is one of Australia’s leading wholesalers and distributors of hobby products supplying radio control models, plastic model construction kits, model wood ships, model rocketry, dolls’ houses and furniture, plus a complete range of building and craft accessories to suit any model builder.

The Company began in 1966 with investments in the slot car boom (which was short-lived), and has progressed to become Australia’s leading and foremost distributor of general hobbies. The character of the hobby industry has changed dramatically over the years. Dawn Trading’s original strength throughout the 1970s and 1980s was plastic kits, then electric powered radio control cars. During the 1990s, gas (petrol) powered RC cars enjoyed huge growth. Dawn Trading is currently one of only two major Toy and Hobby companies still in existence since 1966.

Dawn Trading has unique warehouse facilities at Botany, with an administration and computer nerve centre only 10 minutes’ drive from both Sydney Airport and Port Botany.

Dawn Trading is the only distributor with access to every toy and hobby store in Australia due to its large brand portfolio, with distribution ranging from small toy stores to “top end” RC hobby dealers.
